You might not be an expert on El Salvador, but that won’t stop you from enjoying one of the country’s most beloved creations. On Sunday, November 13, the Arizona Pupusas Festival will serve up as many of the filled masa pockets as you can handle. Hosted by Salvadoreño Restaurant, you’ll find eight different pupusa makers slinging their edibles filled with all manner of meats, cheeses, and beans at the Ruben Romero Ramada at Kiwanis Park, at Mill Avenue and All America Way in Tempe. Tickets are $10, and pupusas are $2 to $3, depending on the filling. VIP tickets are also available for $60, which includes a special “I Love Pupusas” T-shirt. The event runs from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. You can find more information at azpupusasfestival.com.
