You don’t have to be a child to experience the wonder of science (we know you secretly still think that baking soda and vinegar volcano trick is actually kinda cool). Lucky for you, the Arizona Science Center, 600 East Washington Street, is hosting an Adult’s Night Out with no kids allowed. The evening includes a lecture, cash bar, and art exhibition along with the usual science-y fun.

Adult’s Night Out takes place on First Friday, January 2, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. During this special event, general admission is free for adults 18 and over, with an option to pay $7 to visit the special exhibition “National Geographic Presents: Earth Explorers.” For more information call 602-716-2000 or visit azscience.org.
