Phoenix Art & Soul

CALLING ALL ARTISTS! We're inviting local artists to paint a select number of our newspaper racks. Over 448,300 monthly readers pick up papers from our racks all over town - now they'll get to enjoy some cool art while doing so. The 50 selected artists will all complete their pieces together on November 21st during the Used Beat Swap Meet in the New Times parking lot.
Artists chosen to participate will be supplied with the following:
* Spray paint and paint markers to complete project (check back for specific details on type of paint provided)
* 1/8 pg ad in New Times featuring finished piece and artist information/website
* Listing within this website featuring finished piece and artist information/website
* Opportunity to sell art at Used Beats Swap Meet
Artists should bring their own tips, brushes, etc. Different types of paint may also be brought, but please get approved by New Times first.
In addition, a selected number of the completed racks will be shown at a downtown venue for December's First Friday art walk!
