If your last library visit was a few presidential administrations ago, it’s time to dust off that old plastic card and check out all that today’s biblioteca has to offer. The Burton Barr Central Library has much more than just books -- it’s also the place to be for free, bi-weekly Science Cafes, during which experts in their fields share their knowledge through interactive presentations and question-and-answer sessions. On Thursday, July 10, the topic of discussion will be outer space, with ASU professors and other authorities talking comets, Mars rovers, satellites, astrobiology and more. Check it out, learn something awesome, and, you know, maybe check out a book or two. Just watch out for overdue fees; those still exist.

Science Cafe: Space Edition blasts off at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 10, at Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 North Central Avenue. Visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org for more.
