Mind Over Batter

Mind Over Batter is more than a cutesy, clever name. The wheels were clearly turning when cupcake flavors like Cotton Candy (strawberry cake topped with vanilla buttercream and cotton candy crunch), Hot Fudge Sundae (chocolate cake with chocolate chips topped with vanilla buttercream, rich dark chocolate fudge icing, sprinkles, and a cherry), and Dark Vader (chocolate cake with chocolate chips topped with milk chocolate buttercream) were cooked up in the kitchen. And it surely takes some magical force energy to make cake pops, miniature cakes on a stick. They’re available in a wide variety of classic flavors – like red velvet cake mixed with cream cheese frosting, dipped in dark chocolate, and drizzled with white and dark chocolate – and the bakery can decorate the bite-sized treats as little characters upon request. Tiered round cakes are also available for baby showers, weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations. Mind Over Batter’s first bakery was opened by a husband-and-wife team in Tempe and has since expanded into a second storefront in Gilbert.
