Pizza Mart

The name Pizza Mart might not sound too appetizing, but we promise it isn’t the K-Mart of pizza. We admit this Mesa relic looks pretty dive-y, probably hasn’t been updated since the ’80s, and peddles cheap food. But c’mon, it’s a blast from the past – like a stop along the way to the video game championship in The Wizard – and it will sate your hunger for simple pizza. The front room has a couple booths and table with a TV and salad bar, but head toward the back of the restaurant where there’s a row of classic arcade games. Trade your cash for tokens, and you’ll be playing Ms. Pacman, Donkey Kong, Choplifter, or Galaga ’88 in no time. If you get lost in the nostalgia, it’s ok – the prices are stuck in time too. A large pepperoni pizza will only set you back five bucks, and soft serve ice cream cones are fifty cents. The kitchen also cranks out Italian-style focaccia bread with sundried tomatoes and olives, salads, calzones, and of course plenty of French fries.
