Singing Pandas Asian Restaurant & Bar

Singing Pandas Asian Restaurant & Bar in Chandler is a friendly neighborhood spot that’s earned a reputation for its strong repertoire of American Chinese fare – as well as its free nightly entertainment. The restaurant’s “Legend’s Showcase” tribute show, which is free and takes place every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night, has become a big draw, and the restaurant is quite often packed on the weekends. The musical revue features co-owner Mike Russell impersonating and singing hit songs from the likes of Buddy Holly, Johnny Cash, and Elvis Presley. The second half of the showcase features the vocal stylings, Sherry Chen, the restaurant’s glamorous co-owner. The menu at Singing Pandas may not be breaking any new ground, but it does offer several well-executed American Chinese favorites, along with a sprinkling of Cantonese and Sichuan dishes. Highlights include General Tso’s chicken, egg foo young, and mu shu pork, which comes with a short stack of flour tortillas that you can use to make a “Chinese burrito.” The nightly entertainment at Singing Pandas is free. Guests are encouraged to call ahead and make a reservation for the “Legend’s Showcase” shows.
