Wimpy's Paradise

Popeye would gladly pony up for the old-fashioned burgers and ice cream that are this diner’s specialty. Wimpy's takes its name from the hamburger-obsessed character in the famous Popeye the Sailor Man comic strip, and serves Chandlerites the Wimpy's Original Burger, which comes with either a half- or third-pound patty and allows diners to choose a sesame, pretzel, or egg bun. There's also a Dirty Burger that features a tasty no-bean chili, as well as a marinated portabella mushroom burger on an herb focaccia roll. Not in the mood for a burger? The Wimpy's Reuben Sandwich is joined by three hot dog choices, most notably a tasty chili cheese dog big enough for two. On the sweet side, you'll find a selection of Thrifty brand ice cream served in milkshakes, sundaes, cones, and floats.
