Website
Opened in 1929, this swanky resort at the base of Squaw Peak exudes old-timey Arizona charm and elegance. Albert Chase McArthur built it in "Mayan Revival" style, hiring his former mentor Frank Lloyd Wright as consultant. Former Columbia Pictures mogul Harry Cohn had a fatal heart attack here.

I like it because it’s different than all the other hotels. It’s huge with nice grounds. Rooms are great.

I love everything about our road trips to Phoenix. I love that whole area. I love the restaurants. I love playing there. That’s why I love the Biltmore. It’s a combination of things. I like being out by the pool with the nice weather. The rooms have that desert, southwest style. It’s just a cool spot. Great grounds. Very spread out.
