At this outpost of restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow's über-stylish chain of eateries, there's a supercharged vibe, with blaring Cuban rhythms, a see-and-be-seen bar area, and a buzzing white dining room filled with round tables. As for the menu, it's a delicious marriage of Cuban and Asian flavors, such as Cuban spiced chicken with sweet Thai coconut sticky rice, or the Mar y Tierra, with tempura-fried shrimp and melt-in-your-mouth slices of jerk-marinated grilled rib eye. Family-style portions are made for sharing, but make sure your group agrees to dessert. The hot little Mexican doughuts, filled with molten toffee, are especially good.
Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange has materialized into a cheesy mecca for Scottsdale's tasteless to show off the innovations in the field of plastic surgery. If Asia De Cuba was to present its dishes on Top Chef, they would hear "Please pack your knives and go". The food is served in family style portions; however, a restaurant wins no points in serving loads of crap. A wasted Sunday afternoon, with a confused wait staff makes me cranky. We shared the Hoison Duck Tacos for an appetizer and were greeted with the underlying theme of the restaurant. No, not white, but SALT, even though it too is white. To accompany our Duck Tacos we ordered the Lychee Martini and Pineapple Mojito which were both quite unsuccessful. We were then greeted with The Panko Crusted Chicken Palomillo which was just a huge train wreck, and the Lobster Club Sandwich which would have been an impressive dish on a Denny's menu but was quite forgettable at $22. All is all; Asia de Cuba is a tremendous waste of time and money. AcD has high end aspirations with a ghetto execution.

Overall:
Not worth writing a full review. The food was interesting, but the combinations didn't always work. The server's recommendations were faulty, and simply steered us toward the higher priced items.
You'll want to be sure that your check is correct, and if they offer you anything complimentary, be sure that your check is completely closed out before you accept. Our complimentary desserts (even after I questioned what was actually included in that offer) cost me $80 additional dollars that I did not want to make a stink about in front of my guests.
Not an experience that I will repeat.

I love this place. The food is incredible and very unique. The service is impeccable. This is my favorite place....great food, best mojitos and the music make you dance all night. And by the way Asia de Cuba is also a great scene to be seen.

Overall:
I enjoyed dinner with friends for a Birthday on December 7th, the food and atmosphere was amazing. The staff and service is outstanding, and the food was just amazing. Try the tasting menu, you get the best of everything for one great price. Don't forget to have a few of their flavored mojito's to finish the meal off.

I visited Asia de Cuba last weekend for my husbands birthday dinner celebration. We were so impressed my the decor and atmosphere of the entire restaurant. Not only was the food delicious, but it was also very exotic! It was truly like nothing I had ever had before. I can't wait to go back for my birthday!
