Bar Smith

130 E. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ 85004 | Central Phoenix | 602-229-1265

Location Description:

Creativity abounds on both floors of this bi-level beatshack located in downtown Phoenix. Bottle-tossing mixologists like Chase Crain show off their furious flairtending skills and whip up handcrafted artisan cocktails at the downstairs bar. Meanwhile, talented turntablists work the wheels of steel from an elevated platform on the rooftop lounge as urbanites and heavenly-looking honeys mix and mingle with their drinks. Street artists like Lalo Cota are also known to create one-of-a-kind murals on a large chalkboard that occupies one wall, turning Bar Smith into an impromptu gallery of sorts. Be sure to grab a picture of their efforts before last call, as its proprietors tend to erase the creation at the end of the night. The place serves lunch and dinner as well, focusing on American comfort food that goes well with alcohol, from a roasted barbecue pork sandwich and spicy chicken wings to old fashioned pot pie. Stop by for a midday meal or a casual bite before the game.
