Bragg's Pie Factory

1301 Grand Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85007 | Central Phoenix | 602-391-4016

Location Description:

Built in 1947 by the Bragg family, this building originally housed a – you guessed it – pie factory. The Braggs ran a bakery out of the building with a tiny storefront off Grand Avenue and a cavernous bakery in the back, out of which they baked and sold their pies to local restaurants and groceries. They relocated in the 60s, leaving the building vacant until Beatrice Moore and her partner Tony Zahn reclaimed it in the early 2000s. Since then it’s become home to artist studios, a tattoo shop and photography collective. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places and still has plenty of it’s original architectural features. Drive by and you’ll see the distinctive glass-brick windows, though inside it’s been broken into three art gallery spaces including The Frontal Lobe at Bragg’s Pie Factory.
