A second location of this legendary Valley restaurant, Carolina's has a cult following for its out-of-this-world homemade tortillas. Folks line up to gorge on green corn tamales, enchiladas, red machaca burros and, on weekends, menudo. Breakfast burros are another delicious treat.

I've grown up with amazing Mexican food - best of all was the homemade tortillas my grandma would have waiting after the 2 hour drive to visit. She'd heat them up and let me put as much butter on them as I wanted. Carolina's is my fix when I need those butter-slathered tortillas without the drive. They also have great options for lunch!
