Cibo Urban Wine Cafe & Pizzeria

603 N. Fifth Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85003
602-441-2697
Website
Like pizza but want to take your date to someplace cool so she won’t think you’re a cheapskate with all the class of Tommy Lee in college? Then Cibo may just be for you. Its 12-inch pies are veritable works of art, produced by Italian pizza maestro Guido Saccone, who earned his stripes in Caserta, just northeast of Naples, the birthplace of modern pizza. Set in a restored, 1913 house with art on the walls and jazz on the stereo, Cibo is perfect for couples and small parties. And at least for the time being, the wait for a table is not nearly as painful as it is at that other pizzeria-wine bar downtown.

The Inside Word on Cibo Urban Wine Cafe & Pizzeria

  • JessicaHill
Great lunch option downtown with plenty of hot and cold sandwich options as well as salads and crepes. I've been hooked on the caprese sandwich since becoming a vegetarian (but I used to love the salsiccia and my friend swears by the pastrami). I've yet to go for dinner, but their pizzas have been recognized by the New Times Best of Phoenix multiple times.
