Location Description:

Getting to this underground music venue housed in a South Phoenix warehouse is a bit of an experience, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given its off-the-radar nature. If you’re lucky enough to get directions from a local band or someone else in the know, however, it’s definitely worth the journey. Punk, hardcore, and sludge metal are the name of the game at ICYC, as bands play on a ramshackle stage while the crowd sits on thrift store seating, stands on chairs, or slams around the mosh pit. A jumble of colorful graffiti and urban art murals decorate the walls and is almost as bizarre-looking as some of the gutterpunks and indie kids that turn out for shows.
