Fried chicken simply doesn't get any better than this, unless it's paired with waffles. Everything on the soul food menu is homemade and completely addictive, with luscious catfish, red snapper, omelets, greens, mac 'n' cheese, and red velvet cake. Leave the diet at the door.

The Inside Word on Lo Lo's Chicken & Waffles

It's the closest you can get to Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles -- a famous spot in L.A. It’s great soul food. I think their fried chicken is better than Roscoe's. It's kind of out of the way downtown. Definitely go with someone else because you’ll get lost. -
