Fried chicken simply doesn't get any better than this, unless it's paired with waffles. Everything on the soul food menu is homemade and completely addictive, with luscious catfish, red snapper, omelets, greens, mac 'n' cheese, and red velvet cake. Leave the diet at the door.
It's the closest you can get to Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles -- a famous spot in L.A. It’s great soul food. I think their fried chicken is better than Roscoe's. It's kind of out of the way downtown. Definitely go with someone else because you’ll get lost.
Was unimpressed. Waited 45 minutes for three-piece dark meat combo. Good chicken, great greens and candied yams, but disappointing waffle and cornbread. Service was slow. Cashier reprimanded coworkers/employees in front of customers. Spotted employees sneak in brand-name products that made me wish I hadn't ordered my platter- thought batters were made from scratch? Maybe kitchen ran out of supplies... May go back, but with so many restaurants in the valley to try, why bother?

Overall:
My friends and I ate lunch there (Scottsdale)today and we were very disappointed. There was a long hair on the waffle of one of our meals and the management made us pay for the meal. They said that they were sorry for the inconvenience and they could only comp the drink. That is UNACCEPTABLE! If you like dealing with people that don't care about making their customers happy then Lo Lo's is the place for you. Apparently they are busy enough where they don't need return business. I plan on telling everybody I know.

I have been a loyal customer of Lo Lo's until today! Went to the new location, in Scottsdale. Had slow, horrible service and a hair in my food. They did replace the meal but had the adacity to charge me for it. When I went to discuss this with the manager he told me "Everyone in the kitchen had hair nets on."So, basically, he was implying that I was just after a free meal. What a way to treat your customers.....I will NEVER go back there again. If you enjoy eating hair with your chicken and waffles, this is the place to go.
