Its no wonder the spicy food at Los Dos Molinos is downright legendary New Mexican red chiles and Hatch Valley green chiles, in one form or another, star in almost every house specialty, from fat chimichangas, smothered in green chile, to the outstanding adovada ribs, which are marinated in red chile sauce and cooked to falling-off-the-bone tenderness. Buts its not all tongue-tingling heat. The moist, mouthwatering carnitas, done up in a Dutch oven, is simply some of the best pork weve ever eaten. Portions here are generous, and the dishes are so good youll want to clean your plate, but its worth it to save room for hot, chewy, crisp sopaipillas, drizzled with honey.
The great thing about Los Dos is they make a great Margarita so you can cool the heat from their insanely spicy food! If you want authentic HOT Mexican food go here!
Oh and on a side note there is a Los Dos in NYC, owned by the same people and just as good!
If you like to feel the burn without going to the gym then you really need to try the enchiladas at Los Dos. My mouth was on fire after scarfing down a plate of them. This is one of the best places to go if you are looking for the real hot stuff.
One thing I have learned about living in the Southwest, is that finding the best Southwestern food is not easy. Up until I find Los Dos Molinos. Everything on their menu is made truly authentic and packs a punch. The Carna Adovada is my favorite house specialty and I recommend it to all.
This place is over rated in every area. The meals are over priced for the quality. My special of the day was green chili pork stew. It consisted of green sauce with a huge piece of pork fat. NO shredded pork to be seen on my plate. My husbands food was served cold, hot plate though. When we brought it to the waiters attention he shrugged, took the cold entree to reheat. We have been there at least twice a year for the last 7 years and each time we are unable to figure out what everyone sees in this place. This food and service would not last in New Mexico. This last time will be our last.

Food was average, Oaxaca on Van Buren has much better food.

Overall:
I had my first taste of Los Dos Molinos at the original location in Springerville AZ. I also ate at the Mesa restaurant. The Phoenix location stays true to the original. I got a call from a buddy that told me he had found a truely authentic mexican food experience in of all places New York City. I knew LDM had a restaurant there and when I named it he was blown away. If you like it HOT this is the place.

Overall:
We had our small business christmas party there. We were having a great time when the staff turned off half the lights over our table 15 minutes before closing time. It was so noticable that we forgot what we were talking about. It was so RUDE. We confronted the staff and they rudely told us that they wanted to get home to their families. It ruined our christmas party. Don't work in a restaurant if you're not going to serve your customers properly and fairly. Never Again...
