The five Ochoa sisters who own this cheerful Mexican diner use old family recipes passed along by their parents. The rule of thumb seems to be to use only fresh ingredients, not canned stuff, to prepare delicious dishes including carne asada, handmade tacos and burritos cabeza, and camarones. Their menudo draws crowds, and their secret-recipe pozole is second to none. The bombero sauce is a must-try for fans of hot, spicy fare, and is so popular it's been featured on not one but two separate Food Network shows. Red, green, and habanero sauces are also popular with repeat customers. Our only complaint about Los Taquitos is that there isn't one on every corner.
