Orange Table
7373 E. Scottsdale Mall, #6
Scottsdale, AZ 85251
480-424-6819
Practically hidden in the Scottsdale Civic Center Plaza, this neighborhood cafe is worth seeking out, not only for its cheerful, colorful atmosphere, but also its hearty menu. Breakfast is top-notch, with a variety of caffeinated specialties (try the Mexican chocolate latte), buttermilk pancakes, waffles, omelets, and corned beef hash. At lunch, choose from 31 different sandwiches, nine burgers, 10 salads, and other dishes. Were partial to the sturdy Reuben and the juicy, monstrously huge Arrogant Bastard Rustler cheeseburger. The same menu extends to dinnertime, with a few extras, like lavash pizzas that swap ordinary crust for thin layers of buttery pastry, smothered in gooey cheese. Service can be slow, although the owners are up-front about it much of the food is house-made, its prepared to order, and the quality is worth the wait. Our suggestion? Go when you have the time to linger over a cup of coffee or a couple of beers.
I love going to the Orange Table for breakfast and lunch! Now it is added to my new favorites for dinner! They do things like no one else. Tuesday night bike rides with CRAP start in Tempe and end at the Orange Table. A great time for fun, food and beer! Thursday nights they are now open until one with a DJ spinning broadcast live over the internet! Thursday nights are sponsored by Secret Society Wars (SSW) an online gaming community. So you can hang out at OT, drink great beer, eat great food, listen to music and play online games with the free Wifi! Who does that? Orange Table is so much fun!

Overall:
Good bagel (cheese, raspberry jam) and Mediterranean omelette. Corned beef sandwich to-go was delicious, but overpriced. Might try pancakes or French toast next time. Service was slow, but server had only started working two days ago. Atmosphere could be improved by removing stocking supplies away from guests' sightlines.

Overall:
The Green Flannel Corn Beef Hash was fantastic. Shaved corn beef with crisp potatoes properly heated by poblanoes and jalapanoes. The Bloody Mary could have used less black pepper, but the olive and asparagus made up for that. I would have liked more than one, but the service was so slow. I don't know if someone didn't show up that day or what, but a two hour breakfast is just ridiculous. I will be glad to revisit when their front of the house has caught up with the back of the house.

Overall:
I want to say this use to be one of my favorite restaurants, I recommended it to everyone. We all know there is no fast service and that no one is going to be all over you with service. That was ok. I always told everyone, plan on spending some time don't expect to be smoozed. Good food takes awhile to cook.
My last two visits to your restaurant were the not good and this last visit the worse. The service was very slow and attitude was flying everywhere. Miss Stud face who seemed to be coordinating everyone was really in a bad mood and the whole place knew about it. She was upset because we asked to have coffee while waiting for some friends. The guy who ended up waiting on us was scared because he said she was not happy about us getting coffee- No one else was in the place when we arrived. Our friends arrived 5 minutes later and received drinks before us. She then brought our drinks over to let us know she knew we did not get any drinks before our friends arrival. so ok, I keep telling everyone the food is worth it. During the wait for our food we had the entertainment of watching some poor soul get kicked out of the place and told to never come back. I think he wanted coffee.......................
So our food arrives. I always order the mushroom/garlic omlette and have had it many many times. I have hardly any sauce on it. My husband ordered the same and his looked pretty good but not smoothered the way it use to be. I cut into mine and it has nothing in the middle. I ask my husband if he has sauce in the middle of his and he said yes. So I ask Miss stud face if I can have some sauce, My omlette is dry in the middle. She explains to me there is never any sauce or anything in the middle. (I know this is not true from my many past visits) This turns into a conversation that I am asking alot of her. I did get more sauce right before I finished my omlette. I was then charged for additional sauce on my bill.
This was such a disappointing visit and my friends swore that I will never talk them into going there again. If your the owner Miss stud face your going to chase everyone away. If not, you guys could really use some more pleasant help. You have to maintain good food, that was all you had going for you. Just thought you might want some input. GOOD LUCK
