The Inside Word on Phoenix Zoo

  • davelog
The zoo is cool and all, but to REALLY appreciate how cool it is, you need to buy a membership. If you just pay at the gate to get in, you're tempted to stay there all day to make the most of your money, but you end up getting all tired and burned out by the end of the day, ultimately leaving with a bad experience. With a membership, you can go any time and just stay long enough to see a new exhibit, or meet someone for lunch, or just take the kids there for an hour to run around and get tired. It totally changes the experience for the better. Membership pays for itself if you visit more than twice a year or so, and as a bonus, zoo memberships are generally honored all across the country - I got into the San Antonio zoo with my Phoenix membership, and my dad - who lives in San Antonio - got into San Diego's with his. Nice perk!
