Sapna Cafe

1301 NW Grand
Phoenix, AZ 85007
602-254-6726
Sapna Café owner Ana Borrajo is the kind of creative free-spirit whom you’d expect to make a pit stop here on her way to some other metropolis. Instead, she just opened her own restaurant in the renovated Bragg’s Pie Building – a 1947 Streamline Moderne structure that hugs the 45-degree corner of Grand Avenue and McKinley. The menu is simple, fresh, and jaw-droppingly cheap, from thick, chunky Gypsy Stew to salads made with organic greens from Maya’s Farm. Daily specials, served with salad and bread, are downtown’s best lunch deal.
