From the wooden paneling outside to the blinking claw game filled with stuffed animals, everything about The Fox Hole speaks to a forgotten sensibility. The bartender busies herself with straws and glasses as Johnny Cash flips the bird on a refrigerator magnet and patrons sip ice-cold glasses of dollar Coors and reminisce about long-gone establishments about town. Amenities are sparse, but a shuffleboard game glows in one corner. The Fox Hole isn't likely to become any hipster hot spot, but one gets the feeling that's exactly how it's supposed to be: Come here for a cold beer, the game on the bar's two TVs and a chance to grab a plush unicorn for the kids.
