Cozy little spot with a full bar and all of the seafood specialties associated with a 16th Street mariscos joint: tostados topped with fresh octopus, schooners filled with shrimp cocktail, whole fried or grilled mojarra, and shrimp in tomatillo sauce (camarones culichi), with the most expensive plate being about $14. Run by the Maldonado family, Mariscos Playa Hermosa is doing its part to bring the sea to the desert. So get on over there, SpongeBob, and eat some crustaceans.
