Sure, there are plenty o' emo droids out there whining about hurtful girls, hopeless work environments and self-destructive habits, but Armor for Sleep is here to tell you there's something else . . . the afterworld, a place of never-ending moodiness where you have the option of either going to heaven to play new age music, or remaining on Earth, patrolling your hometown in ghost form like the ultimate outsider. That's just some of the conceptual fun you're in for on this New Jersey band's most recent album, What to Do When You Are Dead. With recent recurring appearances on MTV and MTV2's Discover and Download Live, Armor for Sleep seems poised for something big that doesn't involve the Grim Reaper. On the other side of the existential coin, there's Boys Night Out, Canadians who aren't afraid of coming off doofy, with superlative titles -- like "The Subtleties That Make Mass Murderers Out of Otherwise Decent Human Beings" -- that should send Morrissey scrambling for the nearest legal pad.
