Tempe's Sail Inn has tapped Quebecois husband and wife-led collective The Besnard Lakes to play a date on their upcoming spring North American tour. It's a busy spring, indeed, for the band as they have a showcase at SXSW in March, followed by a small European tour before heading back to their native Canada and on down south to their beloved neighbors to the south -- including a May date in sleepy, bucolic Tempe.
The Besnard Lakes will play The Sail Inn Friday, May 14. The show is a 21+ affair, sorry kids, and tickets will go on sale this Friday at 10 AM.
The band is readying their newest album, The Besnard Lakes Are The Roaring Night, for its March 9 release date on Jagaguwar. Their roaring single "Albatross" is out now and it just so happens to be available for download. It is most definitely worth a listen or two, if you've got the time. You can download and listen for yourself here. Yes, it's free.
