The members of the 'Nix's hipster electro DJ crowd are spreading out across the Valley like some American Apparel-clad invasion force. It seems they're effin' everywhere, whether congregating at Homme Lounge for nights like Electrostatic, descending on Coach & Willie's for Inside Out Wednesdays, or spinning up a storm at the always-popular Shake! at the Rogue. Their latest conquest is Club Red, 2155 East University Drive in Tempe, which will be the site of the new dance night Best Friends Forever. Every first Saturday of the month, the 18-and-over fete will be a collaborative event featuring DJs from throughout the electro scene, as well as special guests. The kick-off party on Saturday, February 7, is no exception, as a staggering lineup of more than a dozen spinsters from nearly every faction is scheduled, be it Jared Alan and Kid Turnswell from the Faux Show, Daze of Thunder and BC/AD of Party Foul!, or PRPLHRT's Boom Kids. The Blunt Club's Pickster Uno and Hidden House's Kris the Fist will also be in attendance, as will L.A.'s Blake Miller. Doors open at 7 p.m. with a $10 cover for 21-and-over, $15 for underage types.
