The Downtown Tempe Urban Garden wants you...

to paint a mural.

The Downtown Tempe Urban Garden is located on 5th Street & Forest. Thanks to a collaboration between the Downtown Tempe Community, GreenZona, Gro-Well Arizona, Desert Appeal, and Chef Payton Curry (of Caffe Boa), this empty lot has become a source for organic produce for Valley chefs and the community. It launched in mid-November 2009.

The Downtown Tempe Community representatives and members of the local artist community will be reviewing submissions for a mural to cover the east side wall of the City Hall Parking Garage.

Depending on the submissions and the yet-to-be-determined size of the mural (they say it could be as large as 25 ft by 25 ft), more than one artist may be given the task. Each chosen artist will be given a budget of $500 for materials.

Go to tempeurbangarden.com, download the application, and turn that sucker in by April 30th.
