Sometimes a night just doesn't go your way. On Saturday, November 22nd, we really wanted to check out Harvey Wineburger because we hear they have some old-timey bowling game that is really really fun. When you're drunk. But, as we flew into the parking lot at 12:30, we were greeted by four whole cars in the parking lot. Dang. So we went with plan B. Shady's.

Not that Shady's is a plan B kind of bar. Usually it's our plan A for the night. There are many babes of both genders to be oggled, the bartenders make tall drinks automatically and we get our weekly reading done with the closed captions on the movies they play. That night, Welcome to the Dollhouse was on the screen. Since it's one of our favorite 90's Indie movie, we knew it was going to be a good night. And, as usual at Shady's, after a couple tall drinks, it sure was.

Shady's, 2701 E Indian School Rd in Phoenix, 602-956-8998.
