As tradition dictates, many a lad and lassie will be sporting the green this weekend for Saint Patrick's Day. In Scottsdale, however, the ritual will take on a more fetishistic bent during the latest edition of Cupcake!, on Saturday, March 17. The macabre monthly will feature a "surgical green + black" theme, which means participants will be snapping on the latex — either in glove form or otherwise — for a night of freaky fun at the Rogue Bar, 423 North Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale. Resident DJs Self.Destrukt (pictured) and Defense.Mekanizm will be joined by fellow fetishists $&M and Squalor as they spin electro, dubstep, goth, industrial, and New Wave. Special performances by Mess &* Phetamine and sexy siren (and human pincushion) Maegan Machine will also take place, and go-go dancers, giveaways, a best-dressed contest for prizes, and plenty of the titular baked goods are also promised. The party starts at 8 p.m. Admission is $6. Call 480-947-3580.
