Death Cab for Cutie Has New Album on the Horizon
According to Spinand MTV, Death Cab's ultra-busy frontman Ben Gibbard has announced that the band is working on a new record that should be out in the spring of next year. The album will be produced by guitarist Chris Walla, who also produced last year's record by The Thermals.
While Gibbard has been busy both personally and professionally -- getting married to indie sweetheart Zooey Deschanel and cutting a brilliant album with Sun Volt's Jay Farrar titled One Fast Move or I'm Gone: Music from Kerouac's Big Sur -- he says that the band is in a place where their other projects and geographic distance don't interfere. They're close and ready for the new record. So are we.
