The music world's seen a lot of reunions lately. Morris Day and the Time are getting back together; as are legendary '60s Brit-rockers The Faces (albeit without Rod Stewart), and even the members of Velvet Revolver have been working on some new material. This even extends to the local level, as the DJ duo of Bigie and Epidemic (a.k.a. Gloryhole) are reuniting for an appearance at Bar Smith, 130 East Washington Street, on Friday, June 11. The turntable twosome, longtime regulars at such bygone hipster weeklies as Word Up! and Party Foul!, will perform a special 2x4 set during this weekend's Fuse Fridays after almost a year of each doing their own thing. Bigie predicts it will be an "eclectic mix" to say the least. "We've each been doing totally different styles since we split up: I've been getting into dubstep and drum 'n' bass and he's been doing more of the Moombahton thing," Bigie says. "It's going to be all over the place, with a little bit of everything." The music starts at 9 p.m. and there's no cover before 10:30. Visit www.facebook.com/fusefridays.
