It's not a record deal or a spot at the Warped Tour (ugh), but Jumping Bomb Girls , a power-pop trio that Perihelion Arts impresario Miss Amy Young drums in has gotten props from the lefty website Salon.com. The Jumping Bomb Girls (whose name was inspired by old school WWF tag teamers the Jumping Bomb Angels ) submitted a track, "Delancey," to Salon's Song Search contest - they didn't win, but Salon said some pretty nice stuff about the trio and popped the song up online. The trio's myspace page is worth checking out to get a few more blasts of short, sweet power-poppy love. You can scope out what Salon had to say here (scroll down to the Dec. 8 post to see the JBG remarks). Or you can peep the song (plus a bonus track) right here...
