Oh, and Fall Out Boy. You know, for kids.

The Black Lips (above) have a druggy, melodic sound they call "psych-punk," which strikes me as something like The Stooges playing Stephen Malkmus. Cursive is a post-hardcore act from Omaha signed to Saddle Creek which is still apparently touring on the strength of a decent 2006 album, Happy Hollow. Gaslight Anthem, a favorite of Up on the Sun's newest contributor "Psyko" Steve Chilton, has that Jersey Shore sound that's pretty popular, post-Hold Steady. Personally, I don't give a fuck about Bruce Sprinsteen, but I'll be checking out the show at The Clubhouse. The Little Ones had one of my favorite songs of the decade "Oh, MJ" (video on the jump) though their latest seemed a little lackluster. Read on for the full slate of just announced shows.
