Trendy dance music genres tend to come and go (anyone remember B'More?), but electro-house seems to have stood the test of time, particularly in the clubs and danceterias of the Valley. One of the latest burgeoning talents helping keep the genre alive is Wolfgang Gartner. The Grammy-nominated DJ/producer's funky and kinky remixes have propelled him to the top of the Beatport charts, landed him a guest appearance on an edition of BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix series, and secured the 32-year-old gigs at such tastemaking festivals as Electric Daisy Carnival and Coachella. Gartner is in the midst of a nationwide tour in support of his latest remix disc, Forever, and is scheduled to visit the Marquee Theatre, 420 South Mill Avenue in Tempe, on Saturday, April 2. Local DJs Tranzit, Michael James, and Harvard Bass provide support. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $21.25. See www.luckymanonline.com.
