Anthony Houston Arrested in Shooting of Three People, Including Two Children, in Phoenix
The man who vomited on a dog before shooting the dog's owner and two children at a Phoenix apartment complex, was caught Wednesday night.
Phoenix Police Officer James Holmes says in an e-mail that 22-year-old Anthony Jamar Houston is suspected of committing the "barbaric act of violence."

A 41-year-old man was walking his dog at the apartment complex, near 32nd Street and Thomas Road, around 10 p.m. Tuesday when Houston vomited on the dog from a second-story balcony, police say.
The two started arguing, and Houston started to come down the stairs. The man who was walking with his dog retreated to his apartment, but Houston started shooting at the victim just as he reached his door, police say.
As the victim was shot, he fell into his apartment, and Houston kept firing, striking two children -- a 14-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy.
The children were hospitalized, but their injuries aren't life-threatening, and they have since been released.
The 41-year-old man underwent surgery and was in critical condition Wednesday. His condition has since been upgraded to stable.
Three other people inside the apartment were not injured.
Police had identified Houston as their suspect after the shooting, but he immediately ran away from the complex and wasn't found until Wednesday.
Houston was booked into jail on three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of endangerment, one count of discharging a firearm at a residence, and one count of being a prohibited possessor with a firearm.
Court records show Houston took a plea deal in a 2010 armed robbery and burglary case.
"Phoenix Police detectives and officers worked tirelessly to get this dangerous criminal off our city streets," Officer Holmes says. "Thank goodness."
