hen we first learned of William Willis, an alleged cross-dressing kiddy-porn connoisseur who dug a tunnel in his house leading to a secret, underground room beneath his backyard, we thought there could be no way a guy building a sex dungeon in his house is married. But he is, and his wife is now charged with helping him escape house arrest.

Get all the details on Willis' alleged Silence of the Lambs lifestyle here.

Jamie Lyn Willis, 44, was arrested alongside Willis yesterday when he was busted at an apartment complex near 48th Street and McDowell Road -- where the couple apparently had been living since moving out of the home with the underground chamber.

William Willis faces 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and was placed on house arrest and ordered to wear an ankle monitor as conditions of his release. According to court documents obtained by New Times, Willis' ankle monitor stopped transmitting a signal about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, and according to his probation officer, had apparently recently moved out of the house he was ordered to not leave. Jamie Willis, authorities say, helped him escape custody.

In the days leading up to Willis' escape from custody, Jamie Willis deactivated the couple's cell-phone service and moved their belongings out of their residence.

On Tuesday, when Willis' ankle monitor stopped transmitting a signal, Jamie Willis helped cut it off of his leg and drove the couple in a borrowed car to a new apartment without clearing it with her husband's probation officer, according to court docs.

When the two were arrested yesterday afternoon, police found William Willis in a disguise and discovered that Jamie Willis had changed the number on the couple's cell phone.

When asked about helping her husband flee from custody, Jamie Willis told U.S. Marshals "what can I say? I love my husband."

It's your regular Bonnie and Clyde story -- if Clyde were in what appears to be the early stages of building a sex dungeon in the couple's house.

Jamie Willis has been booked into a Maricopa County jail on one count of felony escape.
