Jonathan Knight -- who taught Tae Kwon Do to children in Gilbert -- pleaded guilty today to charges related to sending pictures of his penis to a 12-year-old former student of his.

Knight pleaded guilty to two counts of furnishing obscene or harmful items to a minor, as well as luring of a minor.

According to court documents previously obtained by New Times, the girl's father discovered text messages Knight had been sending his daughter and confronted her about them in October, including a message from Knight telling the girl she was "gorgeous" and saying he loved her.

Upon this conversation with her father, the girl admitted that Knight had sent a picture of his penis to her, but she'd deleted it.

The girl's father turned over the phone to police to see if they could recover any deleted images, and gave cops the go-ahead to pose as his daughter to send text messages to Knight.

Knight sent a text message to the girl's phone, which was in the hands of the police, and asked if he could send a picture to her.

The cops said sure, and they ended up receiving four consecutive pictures of Knight's penis.

The next day, Knight sent another text message to the girl's phone -- again, which was in the cops' possession -- saying he wanted to have sex with the girl, adding that it was OK, because he'd wear a condom and "pull out" so she wouldn't get pregnant.

Naturally, the cops said sure, and arranged a meeting at the girl's parents' house, where police arrested him.

Back at the station, Knight told police that he sent the photos and the sex request to the girl, according to the documents.

The cops had probably heard this one before, but Knight added that even though he was arrested in front of the girl's house, he said he didn't actually intend to have sex with the girl.

Knight's sentencing is scheduled for May 24.

According to court records, Knight was convicted of criminal damage in 2006.
