Failed Murderer Successfully Murders Cousin
A Pinal County parolee, who spent seven years in prison for attempted murder, succeeded in killing his own cousin, according to the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
Jose Martinez, 25, got popped yesterday after several witnesses went to police to tell them he'd killed his own cousin, 18-year-old Antonio Macias Jr.
According to cops, Martinez shot Macias Jr. in the desert, north of a cemetery near Highway 287 and Nafzigar Road. He shot him in front of several witnesses and told them if they said anything to anyone about the shooting, he would kill them, too.
Both Martinez and the victim are suspects in an armed robbery in Coolidge last week. The PCSO says it's not clear if the robbery could have been a motive for the murder.

The PCSO SWAT Team went to Martinez's house about 3:15 a.m. yesterday, but he refused to come out.
Cops waited for three hours until he peacefully surrendered without incident.
Martinez was booked into the Pinal County Adult Detention Center on one count of of first-degree murder. He's being held on a $1 million bond.
