Fry's Electronics Employees Find Child Porn While Repairing Computer

Fry's Electronics employees discovered child porn on a computer brought to the store for repair last April, leading to the arrest yesterday of a Phoenix man.

James Long, 57, reportedly admitted he found the pictures of little kids engaged in sex acts "visually stunning" and that he downloaded them for his "personal pleasure."

The case began soon after Long took his computer tower to one of two Valley Fry's (court documents don't specify which one) on April 3. While performing the repairs, store technicians somehow came upon the images of child pornography and immediately called police, records state. A search warrant was served, a forensic exam of the computer's hard drive conducted.

Ten pictures were singled out blatantly criminal.

Those shots show kids from less than 5 years of age to 14 engaged in oral, vaginal and anal sex, records state.

With the help of a nurse, police came to the conclusion that two of the pictures depicted children under 5 years old, three pictures had kids under 10 and another five pictures were of kids under 14.

A Phoenix officer then made a phone call to Long, who they say 'fessed up to searching for, downloading and masturbating to the pictures.

He deleted the photos after finding out from another Web site that child porn was illegal, he reportedly told cops. At least, he thought he deleted them.

Police finally arrested Long at about 11 a.m. yesterday in his Glendale home, located in the 15800 block of North 63rd Drive, and booked him into jail. He's facing a possible 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
