A 7.2-magnitude earthquake hit Baja, California yesterday.
The quake rocked high-rise buildings in San Diego and Los Angeles. A number of surrounding areas also have reported feeling aftershocks, including residents across Phoenix...Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies are searching for three men who fled the scene of a fatal scooter accident early this morning.
A 1996 Pontiac hit a man on a motorized scooter near 203rd Avenue and Ray Road, and the victim died at the scene. The three occupants of the Pontiac ran from the car. There are no details at this point as to what caused the accident...The Phoenix Suns brought their winning streak to 10 games this weekend.

A 9-year-old Phoenix girl impaled her thigh on a fence at her home near 16th Street and Baseline Road. The girl slipped as she climbed the three-foot wrought-iron fence and speared herself in the leg. Paramedics used a hydraulic shear to free her, and the girl was taken to a local hospital. She's expected to be okay....An 18-year-old male was killed early Sunday after he tried to break up a house party. According to officials, a 16-year-old girl was having a party near Mesa Drive and McKellips Road. When the party got out of control, she called her aunt to help break up the party. The 18-year-old arrived with the aunt and got into an altercation with an unknown male suspect, who shot him in the back. Police are searching for the suspect.
