Is Jason Rose Behind "The Dirty" Bomb Dropped on Ben Quayle Campaign?
One look at Jason Rose's Twitter page and you'll realize the dude's got a hard on for Congressional candidate Ben Quayle.
In the past few days, Rose's Twitter page has been bash-Ben-Quayle central, and with the latest news that Quayle may have been involved in the early stages of The Dirty,
we're 100 percent certain we wouldn't be shocked if Rose was behind planting the story and orchestrating the fallout.
Get a taste of some recent tweets by Jason -- who represents one of Quayle's primary opponents, Vernon Parker -- after the jump.
-"Said it months ago. Case now. Air out of ben quayle balloon. He will not be in congress. What he will do now to destroy family name."
-"Boom about to be lowered on fraud that is ben quayle. And not by vernon parker. Or a media outlet. Although they should."
-"National, and some local, media continue to pound deceptive phony "family" mailer from ben quayle. And there's another big one coming."
That "big one" apparently came today.
Politico ran an article, picked up by several local and national news outlets, about Quayle's involvement in the beginning phases of The Dirty, claiming he posted up to 10 items under the name "Brock Landers" -- a porn name made famous in the porn-tastic film Boogie Nights.
Check out the article here.
Quayle defends the allegations, saying, "The assertion that I was a 'creator' of this website is false. Several years ago I met the person who founded the site, Hooman Karamian. When it was created it was a different site with a satirical focus on Scottsdale night life and looked nothing like it looks today. My only involvement in its creation was to recommend an intellectual property lawyer to its founder."
Meanwhile, The Dirty has replaced Jason Rose's Twitter page as the venue-of-choice to bash Quayle, and Rose probably sent in his minions to pepper the comment section of the blog with anti-Quayle talking points.
Check it out here.
Rose has his own "dirty" connection, though, and it comes in the form of one of his former employees who bills herself on Facebook as a "professional pimp." See Below.
"Professional pimp" Melissa Rein
Mellisa Rein is the former director of public relations at Rose's firm, Rose & Allyn Public Relations -- a.k.a., "professional pimp."
Rein also happens to represent The Dirty.
Here's a press release she issued "pimping" the launch of new cities in the Dirty empire.
Interesting coincidence, to say the least.
We contacted Rose to see if he was the one behind the airing of Quayle's "dirty" laundry. He said this: "I am responsible for the heavens, earth, and this. Or not. Not."
At least he's humble.
Whether Rose was behind the story, he should take some solace in: A) that he got a few news outlets to print his name, and B) the move didn't blow up in his face, like his attempt to convince the Arizona media that the term "national poster boy" was somehow racist.
Read all about that fiasco here.
In any event, congratulations to Jason Rose! He's successfully moved the focus of a Congressional primary from the issues to The Dirty.
