Though questions remain, the autopsy report is in on the onetime Broadway actor, country-western singer, and ultimately, full time diaper-wearer William "Baby Man" Windsor, who was discovered dead in his Phoenix home on January 30. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office determined that Windsor suffered from acid reflux, chronic alcoholism, and hypertensive heart disease. It was the last that killed him, according to the coroner.

An analysis of Windsor's liver showed him testing positive for 0.11 grams of ethyl alcohol, as well as pantoprazole, which treats acid reflux, and loratadine metabolite, which probably means he was on the antihistamine Claritin.

As mentioned in my previous blog post on Windsor's passing, Windsor was dead for some time before being discovered by the mailman. The autopsy report details the presence of "numerous small live maggots" and "moderate numbers of large, live maggots" in the corpse. It also states that, "The body is in the putrefactive stages of decomposition."

I'm waiting on a response from the Medical Examiner as to exactly how long Windsor was deceased before they came to bag up what was left. I'm also waiting for a copy of the police report, which I'll put online when I have it. Although there was a detective assigned to a death investigation, the coroner labels the manner of death to be "natural."

Windsor was a 24-7 adult baby/diaper lover, who had appeared on The Jerry Springer Show, and had been profiled by former New Times reporter Joe Watson in a June, 2005 cover story. He wore nighties, taught himself to be incontinent, and slept in a humongo crib. He also drank beer and smoked cigarettes, was once married, and had an adult son.

Apparently it was coming into his inheritance, as a great-grandson of H.H. Windsor, the founder Popular Mechanics magazine, that helped him maintain his infantile lifestyle. Windsor's share of the fortune came to around $1.25 million.

His alter ego, or baby persona, was HeidiLynn, and he kept a Web site called heidilynnsworld.com. Her passing was mourned on the AB/DL site, DailyDiapers.com, and the Arizona Republic ran an obit on February 16, which relates that Windsor was "survived by his son, his mother and ten siblings." A private service was to be held. No further details were given.
