Deputies drove to the 4200 block of North Skylark Road just before 8 a.m.yesterday. When they arrived, authorities found Meadville sitting in a chair next to a large knife, and not too far away was the dead cat.
Meadville's 74-year-old mother told deputies that her daughter threw the cat at her when she woke up that morning. For obvious reasons, the two argued and then Meadville allegedly beat her mother, hitting her several times in the face, bruising and swelling her cheeks.
Deputies arrested Meadville and she is being charged with cruelty to animals and aggravated assault.
