A nurse at a Valley hospital who's alleged to have tried to have sex with a child he believed to be a 15-year-old girl has pleaded not guilty to charges that he tried to lure a minor for sexual exploitation -- despite having already admitted to police that's what he was up to.
The minor, as is often the case with alleged pervs who like to meet kids online, was actually a cop.
According to court documents obtained by New Times, Sangalang, a male nurse at Banner Hospital, was
arrested last month as he attempted to meet a person he believed
to be a 15-year-old girl for sex. As we mentioned, that "girl" was actually a cop.
Police say they started monitoring Sangalang on February 22, when he
contacted a the "girl" asking for sex.
He told the "girl" he wanted to engage in two-way oral sex with her. He then said he wanted to have intercourse with her.
Sangalang identified himself as an adult, and even sent the "girl" photos of himself and his car.
Sangalang contacted the "girl" on three separate occasions throughout
the week, and continuously tried to arrange meetings for sex.
Following his arrest, Sangalang copped to trying to lure a child for sex, and acknowledged sending the photos.
He's been with three counts of trying to lure a minor for sexual exploitation. His next court date is scheduled for May 2.
