And a little child shall lead them...In case you missed it, the video above is of First Lady Michelle Obama, accompanied by Mexico's First Lady Margarita Zavala, visiting with a group of Maryland second graders on Wednesday. One kid asked if it was true what her mommy says that Barack Obama's taking everyone away that doesn't have papers.
Cameras rolling, Michelle Obama lamely tried to play the question off, "Yeah, well that's something that we have to work on, right? To make sure that people can be here with the right kind of papers, right? That's exactly right."
Little girl: "But my mom doesn't have papers."
"Yeah, well, we have to work on that, we have to fix that," she told the little one.
Afterward, the First Lady called Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the tyke and had her family deported.
"In the United States of America," said Obama, "no law-abiding person -- be they an American citizen, a legal immigrant, or a visitor or tourist from Mexico -- should ever be subject to suspicion simply because of what they look like."
Thing is, talk is cheap, Mr. President. Especially when it seems like half your cabinet is running around these days saying they haven't even bothered to read SB 1070, thus throwing fodder the way of the pro-SB 1070 crowd.
Indeed, if Hispanics and pro-immigration liberals are half as disgusted with you as I am right now, you can look forward to being a one-term fluke in history.
Arizona Corporation Commissioner Gary Pierce is a blithering idiot who has just had his 15 minutes of fame.
Pierce is the wannabe brain surgeon who kinda-sorta threatened L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa with a cutoff of 25 percent of Los Angeles' power supply from plants in Sand Land. This over L.A.'s half-hearted "boycott" of Arizona.
But here's a little tidbit for those anti-boycott nudniks out there salivating at the fantasy of cutting off L.A.'s electricity: Currently some 60 percent of Arizona's gasoline comes to us via Watson, California, located in Los Angeles County.
Sure Villaraigosa can't turn off this spigot any more than Pierce can turn off L.A.'s lights, but before they go wishing for a war over electricity and fuel with the City of Angels, morons like Pierce may want to check with the Arizona Department of Commerce to see who fills gas tanks here in Cactus Country.

If the boycott-backlashers think they can beat cities like Seattle, Pasadena, San Francisco, Boston and myriad others who've declared their intent to enforce an embargo of sorts against Sand Land, they are simply delusional.
Arizona will continue to suffer for its rep as the most backward state in the nation. And the one thing the state could do to end the boycott, it won't: Repeal SB 1070. So enjoy the pain, hillbillies. You deserve it.
