Police Looking for Ex-Boyfriend of Murdered Phoenix Woman; Say He's an "Investigative Lead"
The Phoenix Police Department is asking the public's help in tracking down a man it's referring to as an "investigative lead" in the murder of a Phoenix woman yesterday.
Investigators are looking for 53-year-old Wade Ridley, the ex-boyfriend of 62-year-old Anne Marie Simenson, who was found murdered in her Phoenix home yesterday afternoon.
Phoenix police spokesman Sergeant Steve Martos tells New Times Ridley is not be confused with Simenson's current boyfriend, with whom she lived and is not currently considered a suspect.
About 4 p.m. yesterday, Phoenix police were called to a house in the 28600 block of North 46th Place regarding "unknown trouble."
When they got there, officers found Simenson's body with obvious signs of trauma. She later died.
Cops are also still looking for Simenson's car, which authorities believe may have been taken by someone involved in -- or a witness to -- the murder.
The car is described as a red 2005 Toyota Solera convertible with a black top and Arizona plate number C9590.
If you've seen the car, call the cops -- but don't approach the occupants, they could be dangerous.
