Sarah Palin VP Pick Has Media Calling Former New Times Writer Brendan Joel Kelley
Brendan Joel Kelley By Ray Stern
Darrell Ankarlo, right-wing talk show host for KTAR radio (92.3 FM), treated his listeners this morning to a rundown on Sarah Palin by former Phoenix New Times music writer Brendan Joel Kelley.
Kelley moved up to the Great White North last year and now he's writing for the Anchorage Press. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (John McCain's choice for vice president, if you didn't already know), has been accused of trying to improperly influence her state's Department of Safety Commissioner to fire her former brother-in-law, a state trooper, and Kelley wrote all about it last month in this piece.
You can hear what Kelley said about Palin on Ankarlo's Web site. Kelley's part begins at one hour, 39 minutes and 45 seconds of the two hour broadcast.
Kelley e-mailed another reporter here to say he'd also got calls for possible appearances on CBS and CNN. Seems he's being tapped as sort of an instant Palin expert, so keep an eye out for him as the media tries to vet McCain's running mate.
