Thomas Warner, Paradise Valley Teacher, Says He Teaches Elementary School to Ease Guilt About Kiddie-Porn Stash

If it's any consolation, parents of little girls in alleged kiddi-porn connoisseur/fourth grade teacher Thomas Warner's class can rest a little easier -- apparently, he's only into little boys.

Warner, a 54-year-old teacher at North Ranch Elementary in Scottsdale -- who's worked in the Paradise Valley School District for more than a decade -- was arrested at his home yesterday on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

According to court documents obtained by New Times, Warner was done in by the computer repairman.

The repairman alerted the cops after finding a "hidden" folder containing images of boys between 8 and 12 years old engaging in a variety of sex acts, the documents state.

After serving a search warrant on Warner's house yesterday, cops say they found USB thumb drives with "hundreds" more images of young boys.

Warner told the cops he's been downloading the pictures off the Internet for the last decade -- about as long as he's been with the Paradise Valley School District -- and explained how he hid his stash from his wife.

Warner also let police know that he "uses his position as a teacher to compensate for the guilt he feels about viewing the images."

"Sometimes I know the children are hurting and other times it looks like they have no guilt about what they are doing," Warner told police.

Police also note that Warner tutors kids after school, children who are between the ages of 8 and 12.

According to Warner's website, "Mr. Warner's 4th Grade Classroom," he's also taught fifth grade and "elementary computer classes."

"His goal is to provide a positive and safe environment in the classroom for all," his website states.
