Now that school is out for the summer, teens find themselves with more time on their hands. Apparently two teens living in the border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora, decided to find summer jobs smuggling dope over the border.
In two separate and unrelated seizures, U.S. Customs and Border Protection caught two 16-year-olds smuggling weed across the Port of Douglas in cars, both busts totaling more than 300 pounds.

Officers asked the first teenager -- neither of their names have been released -- to pull over for additional inspection. After investigating the Chevrolet truck, the CBP found 15 packages of weed, with an estimated cost of more than $120,000. Pictures taken by officers show the bales of contraband stuffed in the engine and behind what looks to be the back seat of the truck.
This leads us to believe that the 16-year-old could have applied himself more, should stay in school. Because although he, too, was unsuccessful, the second teen who attempted to sneak weed across the border that day gains a higher grade for preparation and concealment.
The second teen tried driving a Ford sedan stuffed with dope through the port of entry. The packages were split into various sizes and tucked into backseat cushions.
While a valiant effort, a K-9 caught a whiff of the drugs. Upon inspection, officers found 74 packages of weed, which totaled 67 pounds.
Both teens have been turned over the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
