Video: Watch Bullets Nearly Hit 4-Year-Old Girl at Chandler Barber Shop

The 4-year-old girl in the pink outfit flounced around Paisano's barber shop in Chandler, skipping and dancing.

At about 11 a.m. on Monday, she sat on a chair in front of a window to watch TV. Bullets suddenly exploded around her head, sending her scrambling in panic.

The scary incident plays out in a video released today by the Chandler Police Department.

Cops say the young girl was injured by flying glass, and only narrowly avoided being shot.

Upcoming Events

The man accused of firing the bullets wasn't trying to hurt the girl, according to police.

Michael Hart, 23, a transient who recently began work at a cabinet store, allegedly had a beef with the tattoo he got from a nearby shop, Damaged Ink Tattoo.

Hart, accompanied by two friends, reportedly became angry at the shop owner and retrieved a handgun from his vehicle's trunk.

Video from the barber shop showed Hart's car roll up, pause for a few seconds, then pull forward again. People inside the tattoo shop heard three shots.

"Two shots pierced the glass at the head level of the girl, passing by either side of her head," a booking sheet states.

Hart and the other two men drove away, but police soon located the suspect's girlfriend. She told cops that Hart admitted to being in a shooting and that he'd "popped off" some rounds.

At about 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, police found Hart at a Mesa home. He tried to flee, police said, but was arrested. Police said in a booking sheet that a gun was found in the room that Hart had been staying in.

Police also arrested Rafael Santos after a witness pegged him as one of Hart's two acquaintances.

Both men face possible charges of discharging a firearm, aggravated assault, and endangerment.
